A part of the money raised through sales from "Umimachi" at the venue of the 4th International Photobook Festival, Kassel 2011 will be donated as the proceeds to the local government office at the disaster area of "The Great Higashinihon Earthquakes".
Also, a part of the second edition book of "Umimachi" will be donated to each city halls, libraries, schools and care facilities of the desaster area with our own hands.
This activities will be reported through our official Facebook page.

The book recorded the landscapes of the quiet port town located Sanriku district in '91 -'93 during his journey.
On March 11, 2011, all of a sudden, thease area were hit by "The Great Higashinihon Earthquakes" and devastated.
Now those scene has became "lost scenery" since almost all the cities are disappeared by tsunamis.
Koji Onaka and Yasunori Hoki decided to turn them into book to leave thease beautiful scenery in history with people's memory.
We dedicate this book to all the victims.

The first edition is only limited of 300 copies with signed original Silver Gelatin Print made by the artist's hand.

Gagosian and Todd Eberle invite you to a book signing of Todd Eberle: Flowers, 2009

Gagosian Gallery is pleased to announce a book signing for Todd Eberle's most recent publication, Flowers which unites two independent but related bodies of work. The first consists of his flower images, which he refers to as "Digital Rorschachs", created over the last two years. The second is a series of portraits of drag queens participating in a beauty contest that Eberle anonymously shot in Dallas, Texas in 2009. In Flowers, Eberle constructs a remarkable visual relationship between nature as found in his yard and fashion as encountered in his candid approach to femininity, raising questions about traditional notions of beauty and identity in American culture.

Flowers is published by SUPER LABO (Japan) in a first edition of 500,
with a special edition of 10 each of the front and back cover images
with a signed and numbered 8x10" print in a specially made box.

Not initially conceived to have any connection, in "Flowers",
the two individual bodies of work find a remarkable visual relationship together.
